Tom Brady, a 5-time Super Bowl winning quarterback, has achieved yet another honor in the NFL. On a Thursday night football game against the Indianapolis Colts, Brady threw three touchdowns, making him the third player in NFL history to throw for 500 touchdowns in a career. The other two who’ve done so are Brett Favre and Peyton Manning.

On the first drive of the game, Tom Brady threw his first touchdown to Cordarrelle Patterson. Then he threw one to his running back, James White. Finally, Brady threw his 500th touchdown on a 39-yard pass to Josh Gordon, their new addition to the wide receiver squad. His touchdown to Josh Gordon makes Gordon the 71st person Brady has thrown a touchdown to, another NFL record.

While Tom Brady threw his 500th touchdown, another quarterback is in the hunt. New Orlean Saints quarterback Drew Brees only needs one more touchdown to reach 500. As Brady gets closer and closer to retirement, fans can only imagine what other records he might hold.
