A solid gold toilet was offered to the White House.

After President Trump asked the Guggenheim Museum if he could borrow Vincent Van Gogh’s “Landscape with Snow” painting, they instead offered him a fully-functional 18-karat solid gold toilet. Guggenheim’s curator, Nancy Spector, stated that the toilet would be available “should the President and First Lady have any interest in installing it in the White House.”

Nancy Spector stated in her email to President Trump concerning the painting, “I am sorry… to inform you that we are unable to participate in this loan since [“Landscape with Snow”] is part of the museum’s Thannhauser Collection, which is prohibited from travel except for the rarest of occasions.”
