After rave reviews for the Howl’s Gimkit article, we decided to respond to Blooket fans by taking a look at the popular educational gaming site. Enjoy!
Monster Brawl
This single-player strategy and dexterity-based game has the simple goal of fighting monsters and collecting XP (experience points) to get power ups. This mode features two different maps as well as two unique levels of difficulty. Overall, this game mode is amusing for its creative concept and a way to avoid boredom. The Howl rates this mode a 10/10.
Tower Defense
This endless game mode has the simple objective: to destroy as many waves of enemies before losing all of your health. Even though there are a limited variety of towers, each one introduces different abilities to help fight against monsters. As each wave gets more challenging, the entertainment factor rises. The Howl rates this mode an 8/10.
Tower Defense 2
This is an improved version of Tower Defense, with new towers that provide a larger variety of abilities, including making money and upgrading other towers’ stats. This mode provides even more action and entertainment then the first version. The Howl rates this a 10/10.
Cafe
This speed and strategy mode is one of the more creative games in Blooket. The aim of this game is to serve customers’ orders to make money to buy new items on the menu, increase your items’ selling prices, and upgrade your shop. For the first few minutes, this game mode is really pleasing as you get rich quickly. But after you buy everything, the game becomes stale. The Howl rates this game mode a 6/10.
Factory
This game mode’s goal is to quickly earn cash by answering questions to unlock and upgrade blooks, with each producing money at varying speeds and rates. Strategy also plays a big role as you have to choose which blooks to swap out and upgrade, all while considering your opponents’ blooks. The only bad thing is that you can’t do anything besides upgrade and swap out blocks with your money. The Howl rates this game mode a 6/10.
Crazy Kingdom
In this mode, you are the “king” of a kingdom. Your people come up and ask questions. You have to choose between yes or no. However, there is a catch; you have to answer another question. If you get it right, you get to choose your answer. Otherwise, the computer randomly chooses it for you. If any one of the kingdom’s materials, people, happiness, or gold reaches zero, you lose the game. The Howl rates this a 7/10.
Tower of Doom
In this game mode, the player draws cards that each have a different amount of strength, charisma, and wisdom. You use these cards to battle minions, and the minions get harder and you get more cards with different stats during each round. Once you defeat all the minions, you fight the boss at the end, similar to the Nintendo game “Pokemon.” It’s repetitive and takes a while to get to the boss. The Howl rates this game mode a 7/10.
Study
This mode is SUPER boring, it is just answering questions, and there’s not much strategy or skill needed. The mode is one that teachers love to use for their students, but for those who want to grind coins and xp, this game mode is not a viable option. The Howl rates it a 5/10.
