An Ohio State University student was killed by the police after barreling into a crowd of pedestrians with his car, and later stabbing multiple people with a butcher’s knife on campus. Eleven people were sent to the hospital, and one is in critical condition. The suspect was a Somali refugee who was identified as Abdul Razak Ali Artan.  Authorities claim that they are not yet ready to assign a motive.

According to CNN, in a Facebook post shortly before the rampage, Artan urged America “to stop interfering with other countries, especially the Muslim Ummah,” a term for Muslim people at large. “By Allah, we will not let you sleep unless you give peace to the Muslims. You will not celebrate or enjoy any holiday.”
