On Tuesday, two students opened fire in a suburb Colorado school in Denver, killing 1 and wounding at least 8. The school shooting occurred not too far from Columbine High School at about 2 pm. “Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock said the pair walked into the STEM School Highlands Ranch and began shooting students in two classrooms,” reports LA Times. Deputies were notified almost immediately and arrested the two suspects.

” ‘Over the next few minutes, quite a few shots were fired. As officers were arriving at the school, they could still hear gunshots, and as they were entering the school,’ ” Douglas County Undersheriff Holly Nicholson-Kluth said.
