On Wednesday, November 14, authorities released names to the public of about 100 people reported to be missing since the devastating wildfire. The latest death toll has risen to 48 people. In the Camp Fire in Butte County, 135,000 acres have been burned so far and 8,817 structures have been destroyed. The Woolsey Fire, that rapidly spreads throughout Los Angeles County and Ventura County, 97,620 acres have been burned, 435 structures have been destroyed and 57,000 are in danger. The Hill Fire is about 90 percent contained, although burned about 4,500 acres, according to CBS News.

Butte County Sheriff and Coroner Kory L. Honea said he expects more bodies will be found. “I want to tell you, though, this is a very, very difficult process,” Honea told reporters Tuesday. “There’s certainly the unfortunate possibility that even after we search an area, once we get people back in there, it’s possible that human remains can be found.”
