Alabama Wins The National Championship

For the seventeenth time in school history, Alabama has won the National Football Championship. Coach Nick Saban led them to victory over the Georgia Bulldogs in dramatic fashion.
The game was tied up at 20 each. The Alabama kicker then missed a field goal that would have won the game in regulation. This was his second missed field goal attempt of the game. In overtime, Georgia started with the ball, they ended up with a field goal. When Alabama got the ball, the freshman quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, who walked onto the field in the second half, threw a perfect pass to DeVonta Smith to win the National Championship. This gave the Alabama Crimson Tide their fifth National Championship in the last ten years.
