With one week left, the tensions surrounding the election are high.
Vice President Kamala Harris, representing the Democratic party, and former President Donald Trump, who supports the Republican party, are running in this year’s presidential election. As we get closer to the election, Harris and Trump are visiting battleground states Michigan and Georgia. Battleground states are states with a similar number of Democratic and Republican voters, so that state’s results could determine who wins the presidency.
To boost their votes, Harris and Trump hosted rallies that took place yesterday. Harris and vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz campaigned in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Meanwhile, Trump and J.D. Vance campaigned in Atlanta, Georgia.
So far, most election surveys show a close tie, with some survey results supporting one party over another.
The election is on November 5, but most states allow early voting by mail.
May the best candidate win!
