On 9/4/22 a video was posted of a drop tower ride in Mohali which had broken down while riders were dropping. This video takes place in Punjab, India where footage shows the ride dropping and crashing onto the ground. The attraction is 50 meters tall and capable of holding 50 people at a time. Luckily, none of the 50 people died, although 16 people were reported hospitalized. Why did the ride experience such a malfunction? Was there a warning before the ride broke down? Locals who were present at the time of the disaster claimed that there were no safety tests taken before the ride had launched. declared that the event would be extended till the 11th.
