Officials announce that all students ages twelve and up will be requested to have the vaccine by the end of July 2022. This sparks a major community with schools everywhere having protests. On October 18th, 2021 many students’ parents had them participate in a school “sit out”. Saying that the vaccine is “taking control of others’ bodies.” When a student is absent the school loses money. Schools everywhere lost an absurd amount of money causing setbacks. As of now, guidelines stay the same and no rules have been changed. So will this new mandate be a giant setback for schools? Or will official health departments give in and end the mandate?
