The epic series of Star Wars lives on. On December 18, 2015, the movie was released and has since made an astonishing $1.961 billion in worldwide box office revenue. In 2015, Star Wars Episode 7 was the highest selling movie, with 88,674,903 tickets sold.

Most critics have enjoyed Star Wars. 93% of people who have watched the movie have rated it positively, according to RottenTomatoes.com.

“The Force Awakens is half reboot, half remake, and all fun,” says Steven Rea, part of the Philadelphia Inquirer. “The movie was fantastic. It was true adventure.”

Before Star Wars opened in theaters, people were lined up late at night just to get a ticket.

“People camping out may not be aware of it, but waiting can actually increase enjoyment of whatever you’re waiting for,” says Jacob Kastrenakes, who is a writer for The Verge.
The adventure of Star Wars will continue in 2017.
