After yet another eventful NFL season and offseason, the NFL Draft is here. There are many great prospects such as Kyler Murray, Nick Bosa and Josh Allen. Just looking at the draft, it seems to be full of great defensive players. Well with all the anticipation done, let’s get to the picks.

The top three picks went as expected, Kyler Murray went first overall to the Arizona Cardinals, Nick Bosa went to the 49ers and Quinnen Williams got picked by the Jets. Almost the rest of the top ten picks were a surprise. The Raiders picked Clelin Ferrell fourth overall. As expected, the Buccaneers picked Devin White. Daniel Jones went to the Giants at pick six. Josh Allen dropped all the way to pick seven, and was sent to the Jaguars. The Lions selected TJ Hockenson, and the Bills picked Ed Oliver. For the tenth pick, the Steelers traded up to get linebacker Devin Bush.

Throughout the rest of the draft there were many good picks. The Redskins got yet another quarterback, Dwayne Haskins, who could replace Alex Smith, who might never play again. The Dolphins went on to get Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins. Later, the Giants would go on to pick Dexter Lawrence at seventeen, and DeAndre Baker at thirty. Like the Giants, the Raiders selected two more players, Josh Jacobs and Jonathan Abrams. The Baltimore Ravens finally got a receiver, Marquise Brown, who is Antonio Brown’s cousin. With the final picks in the first round, the Seahawks to pass rusher L.J. Collier who could replace Frank Clark, and the Rams traded their pick to Atlanta, who then took another offensive lineman, Kaleb McGary. With the final pick in the first round of the 2019 draft, the New England Patriots took N’Keal Harry, a wide receiver out of Arizona State. He could be a good addition to a Patriots offense that looks a bit depleted after losing future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski.

After a great first round, there are still some questions. Like why star players such as Greedy Williams, Drew Lock, Byron Murphy or DK Metcalf were not selected. In addition to that, there were many questionable picks, like the Raiders picking Clelin Ferrell instead of others such as Josh Allen at number four. Well, the players have been picked, and we will have to see how these first-rounders perform in 2019.
