Empire actor, Jussie Smollett, who had all charges dropped against him after being “accused of staging a hate crime in January,” reportedly did not attend the NAACP Image Awards Dinner in Hollywood on Saturday Night. According to Deadline, Jussie Smollett lost in “the Outstanding Supporting Actor category to fellow nominee Jesse Williams of Grey’s Anatomy.”

“I have been truthful and consistent on every single level since day one,” Smollett told reporters after the charges were dropped. “It’s been an incredibly difficult time. One of the worst of my entire life. … Now I would like nothing more than to just to get back to work and get on with my life,” Jussie Smollett said in response to the situation.
