On Wednesday, February 28, yet another historic deal was signed in the MLB. Outfielder, Bryce Harper, signed a 13-year, $330 million dollar deal with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Harper had spent his entire career with the Washington Nationals, where he became a 6-time All-Star, won Rookie of the Year, was named MVP and won a Silver Slugger. He continues to be one of the best players in Major League Baseball and was a free agent this year. After months of waiting for where the best free agent would go, the sports world finally got an answer.

This signing easily became the biggest contract in MLB history. Since he was paid so much, he should become a huge part of the team. He will hopefully make them a contender to win a Pennant.
