Last Sunday, the NFL’s annual Pro Bowl took place. The Pro Bowl is a game where the best players from each conference face off. The AFC earned the blowout win outscoring the NFC 26-7.

In the first quarter, Patrick Mahomes started things off with an amazing 18-yard touchdown. Russell Wilson tried to answer back with a 36-yard pass to Davante Adams. They got down to the 4-yard line, but could not convert on a 4th down. The AFC was also not able to score on the next drive, only getting to their own 45-yard line. On their next drive, Mahomes sailed a 50-yard pass to Keenan Allen.

In the second quarter, Anthony Sherman, the Kansas City running back, finished the drive by running into the endzone. The NFC was yet again held scoreless with only one set of downs. Andrew Luck was intercepted by Kyle Fuller on an amazing defensive play. However, the offense could not convert that into points. The AFC got down to the NFC’s 13-yard line and Jason Myers kicked the field goal before the first half came to an end.

To start off the second half, Mitchell Trubisky threw a sideline interception to Chris Harris Jr. The AFC tried for the 58-yard field goal after being stopped on 3rd down, but Jason Myers missed the kick. Ezekiel Elliott helped the NFC get a first down after taking the snap on a fake punt and running for 22 yards. On the next play, Adam Thielen caught a lateral and threw it downfield for Kamara but was intercepted by Jamal Adams. The AFC was able to turn that into another field goal, making the score 20-0.

In the 4th quarter, The NFC was finally able to score, Dak Prescott threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Austin Hooper. Then, Jason Garrett started putting in offensive players on defense. Saquon Barkley and Alvin Kamara transformed into defensive linemen and Mike Evans became a cornerback. Mike Evans was able to intercept Deshaun Watson, before 20 yards of fumbles and laterals. The AFC got the final punch, with Deshaun Watson throwing to Jalen Ramsey, a cornerback, with 19 seconds left.

The AFC took their 3rd straight win in the Pro Bowl, 26-7, and Patrick Mahomes and Jamal Adams won MVP.

In a post-game interview, Patrick Mahomes said, “It was great, It really was great to be out there with those guys. There’s a lot of talented guys out there and I just tried to throw it out there and let those receivers and running backs make plays for me.”
