On Sunday, October 1st, 2017, a gunman on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino opened fire over a country music festival killing at least 58 people and injuring 515. The shooter was identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, who took his own life after the deadly attack.

As said on The Washington Post, “A gunman in a high-rise hotel overlooking the Las Vegas Strip opened fire on a country music festival late Sunday…The gunman, identified by police as Stephen Paddock, was later found dead by officers on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino…The death toll in Las Vegas had reached at least 58 by Monday morning…an additional 515 people were injured.”
