Hurricane Harvey was recently downgraded to a tropical storm, but still caused devastating damage to Texas. At least 30 lives were claimed from the extreme flooding caused by the storm. On the bright side, almost 9,000 people were rescued in Houston.

As said on CNN, “Several rain gauges…report more than 48 inches of rain from the storm known as Harvey. That marks the most rain ever recorded in the contiguous United States from a tropical storm that made landfall…between at least 9,000 to 10,000 people have been rescued in the Houston region.”
