Will the Dodgers finally take this one home?

The Los Angeles Dodgers are making history in 2017. The baseball team has had historic success this season. LA’s ball club has dominated most of the teams they have played.  In fact, they have 85 wins and only 34 losses, a record rare in the history of the sport. In a span of the recent games, they have had 31 wins with only 4 losses. The Dodgers could finish the regular season with 125 wins if they stay on their current pace. MLB’s all-time win record is 116 wins, which this team would absolutely crush.

The Dodgers’ winning percentage is currently 0.708 which would place them at roughly 115 wins by the end of the regular season – just one win off of the all-time record. In order to break the record, the Dodgers cannot lose more than 12 games before the end of the regular season. LA has 49 games left before the playoffs begin. To claim the all-time win record, the Dodgers must have a winning percentage of at least 0.756.

Will 2017 be the Los Angeles Dodgers’ year to break the all-time win record, or will the 1906 Chicago Cubs’ and the 2001 Seattle Mariners’ record of 116 wins still be unbroken? Fans are hoping for the best as the wins continue to pile up toward a World Series run in October.
