This Tuesday, Donald Trump gave his State of the Union Speech. He started his speech by condemning recent anti-Semitic acts and the shooting of two immigrants in Kansas, according to CNN. After discussing ‘radical Islamic terrorism’ and ‘building a wall’, Trump stirred the audience by commenting on the late William “Ryan” Owens, who was killed in the military raid in Yemen that Trump had ordered shortly after becoming president. The President talked about Owens’ legacy and his heroism, “Ryan died as he lived: a warrior, and a hero…Ryan’s legacy is etched into eternity.” His praise led to about 2 minutes of applause for Carryn Owens, the widow of the late soldier.
