A San Francisco-based appeals court has unanimously voted to reject Trump’s travel ban. This ban has prevented people from seven primary Muslim countries from entering the United States. While Trump tweeted that ‘the security of our nation is at stake’, the Trump administration had not shown any evidence that anyone from the seven countries had committed terror attacks in the U.S., according to the New York Times. The 3-0 unanimous ruling confirms that people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen with visas can continue to enter the states. Refugees from around the world, who were also subject to a temporary ban, can now also enter America, said the New York Times.

According to The Hill, the ruling stated, “The Government has pointed to no evidence that any alien from any of the countries named in the Order has perpetrated a terrorist attack in the United States.”
