On January 29th, a historic church across the street from Grapeland Elementary caught fire. According to Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department, they were called after smoke was seen coming from an outlet inside the Etiwanda Community Church. The fire damaged a portion of the building. It took firefighters about an half hour to extinguish the fire. The church’s insurance company refused to cover the fire and water damage caused by the fire and the fire fight.
