Do you have an interest in something that others think is weird, or unusual?

“Books. I genuinely am obsessed with books. I started reading ‘teen’ books when I was 12, so I would walk into the teen section of the library, and everybody would just stare at me as I walked in. All the teens in there doing their homework, they would just look at me, a small girl that had a full bag of books, as I walked out of the library. I was so small, I wasn’t a teen, and I felt like I didn’t fit in there, even when I turned 13. I still feel like I’m not accepted into that teen section, even though I am one. And it’s really hard to try and start a conversation with someone who doesn’t like books. I’ll be like, ‘Hey, have you read this?’ and they’re like, ‘No,’ and so the conversation just disappears.”
