This Thursday a shooting took place at the Uthai Sawan Child Care in Thailand. The shooter, Panya Khamrapm, arrived at the daycare at around noon. He was armed with a gun but mainly used a knife on the victims. At least thirty-seven people died, including twelve adults and twenty-four children. The average age of the kids was about 2-5 years old. Khamrapm used to be a police officer until he was dispatched from his position last year for misuse of drugs. Witnesses say that Khamrapm walked into the school at around lunchtime to pick up his son. Surprisingly, his son wasn’t there. According to staff, that’s when Khamrapm began his massacre, mainly stabbing his victims with a knife while shooting at anyone who got in his way. After his violent rampage, he somehow walked out of the school and made his way to his house where he murdered his wife and his child. Shortly after the tragedy, police surrounded his house, to find out that he had committed suicide shortly after killing his family. Although how he brought weapons into the school is unknown, this has officially been declared the worst massacre of children in the world dealt by a single person.
