Do you own a Tesla? If you do, your costly investment might just be worth it, as the new bioweapon defense could save your family from the deadly coronavirus. 

The coronavirus spreads through infected liquids and resting particles, which the bioweapon defense filters out of the air. 

In 2016, the defense procedure was verified by Tesla, and Elon Musk updated the public through tweets.

“The air filtration system was put to the test in real-world environments from California freeways during rush hour, to smelly marshes, landfills, and cow pastures in the central valley of California, to major cities in China [emphasis added]. We wanted to ensure that it captured fine particulate matter and gaseous pollutants, as well as bacteria, viruses [emphasis added], pollen and mold spores.”

The includance of “China” and “virus protection” might raise a red flag, although, we don’t know how up to date the technology is. What currently sets apart the coronavirus from a typical virus is in its ability to spread aerially.

According to Tesla, “[The] Model X was placed in a large bubble contaminated with extreme levels of pollution (1,000 µg/m3 of PM2.5 vs. the EPA’s “good” air quality index limit of 12 µg/m3). We then closed the falcon doors and activated Bioweapon Defense Mode.”

The defensive filtration is effective for particles 0.3 micrometers, leading most to assume its success against a global pandemic. However, viruses often have particles that are even smaller, raising concerns about Tesla effectiveness in the real world. 

With all the concern about the Coronavirus, and a large bank account, perhaps you could put Tesla’s Bioweapon defense to good use.
