Who doesn’t like to devour a warm, juicy, crunchy burger with some seasoned fries and a delicious creamy milkshake? Well, it’s a lucky day for you. Richie’s diner is just the right place to go. 

Richie’s Diner was founded by Jack and Linda Williams in 1991.  He named his restaurant after Rich Snyder, a good friend of Jack’s who was a former president and chief executive of In-N-Out. Williams was in the food industry for more than 60 years and won the 2014 Silver Plate Award from the Independent Food Service Manufacturers Association. 

When I got to Richie’s Diner its impression made me feel like I stepped into the ‘50s with the jazz and decorations. There was also a mini-store inside the diner which was weird because I’ve never seen anything like this. They had Gummi bears, jelly beans, and Cinnabons. After we were seated, we looked at the menu and I saw a large variety ranging from salads to burgers to pasta (and desserts). In trying to choose a dish, the waiter kept pushing us to hurry up which made me feel uncomfortable. The manager was also disrespectful when I asked questions about the history of the diner. Not cool.

In the end, I ordered Richie’s Signature Burger washed it down with an Oreo milkshake. The signature burger was a typical burger with a full pickle slice, tomato, meat patty, lettuce, and some fries. Since I was hungry that night, I didn’t care what it looked like. When I tried to bite the burger, it was too big for my mouth, so I had to bite the bottom half of the burger, then the top in order to eat it. It was delicious! 

The Oreo Milkshake was creamy and refreshing. It’s delicious when you eat Oreos with milk, but when you’re talking about eating Oreos with blended vanilla Ice cream, it’s heaven. 

All in all, the food was really enjoyable. If the service matched it, we might even return.
