On Monday, April 1, President Donald Trump said in a series of tweets that Congress would be able to vote on a new healthcare plan after the 2020 elections. According to ABC News, Trump declared at least a week ago that the Republicans were “on the winning side of healthcare” and would be able to develop a replacement of ObamaCare, which has provided health insurance to American citizens over the years.

“The Republicans are developing a really great HealthCare Plan with far lower premiums (cost) & deductibles than ObamaCare,” Trump tweeted. “In other words it will be far less expensive & much more usable than ObamaCare. Vote will be taken right after the Election when Republicans hold the Senate & win back the House.”
