Albert Pujols has accomplished one of the greatest feats in baseball.

Albert Pujols obtained his 3,000th hit last Friday against the Seattle Mariners, making him the fourth player in history with at least 3,000 hits and 600 home runs. Both Hall of Fame milestones (3,000 hits and/or 500 home runs) have now been shattered by Pujols, making him a sure inductee into the Hall of Fame.

“After lining out in his first at-bat and walking in his second plate appearance Friday night at Seattle’s Safeco Field, Pujols reached the milestone when he singled on a soft liner to right field with two outs in the fifth inning off Mariners starter Mike Leake,” wrote David Schoenfield of ESPN.

Albert Pujols has accomplished one of the greatest feats in baseball, giving him the career every player dreams of. His legacy in MLB will live on and his success will be set in stone when he earns his plaque for the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
