After 52 million votes, Darci Lynne Farmer, a ventriloquist/singer, emerged victorious as the winner of the 12th America’s Got Talent on Wednesday, August 20th, 2017. She beat out the other finalist, 10-year-old singer Angelica Hale.
As said on People.com, “After 52 million votes were cast, the 12-year-old singing ventriloquist was crowned the winner of season 12…The final two included Farmer and 10-year-old singing prodigy Angelica Hale. The two girls became fast friends, their support for each other unwavering throughout the competition.”
