Fentanyl assemblies in schools are designed to present the risks of the substance fentanyl, which is currently the number one drug threat in the US. Even a few milligrams can be lethal. The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office came to Day Creek to present on fentanyl with the intent of preventing students from ever taking the drug. The DA’s office shared a presentation with the audience that hit home. A key part that stuck with the audience was a video sharing the story of a teen named Chevy who had made some bad choices and wound up losing his life.
