From January 23 to January 26, Day Creek Coyotes celebrated Kindness Week. Tuesday was country-themed attire, Wednesday was sportswear, and Thursday was all black clothes to “black out the bad.”
“[These spirit days] could make you more enthusiastic to be kind,” said 6th grader Catherine P.
Throughout Kindness Week, students at Day Creek can participate in fun activities during lunch, like writing notes to friends, to show their consideration.
“Writing a message to your friend can make them have a better day,” said Kaliyah S., a 6th grader on campus.
Kindness is important at Day Creek, and Coyotes are having fun showing their spirit.
“Some people forget about being kind, and these days can help people be reminded,” said Catherine.
Other than spreading kindness, these days mix things up and give students something to look forward to.
“I was excited to dress out… it’s just fun,” said Catherine..
