James Bond, agent OO7, is one of the biggest and most famous fictional characters of all time. Bond was created by British novelist Ian Fleming. The fictional character was introduced in the 1953 thriller Casino Royale. Ever since 1953, James Bond became extremely popular. Many actors have played James Bond, including Pierce Brosman, Sean Connery, and Roger Moore. The most recent has been actor, Daniel Craig, who is starring in the new James Bond movie, No Time To Die, which is being released on April 8, 2020. All Bond characters have been played by men.

Recently, everyone who is a fan of James Bond has been speculating if the next James Bond could be played by a woman. One producer of the movie, Barbara Broccoli, said in an interview with Variety, “Bond can be played by any actor or race, he should not be played by a woman.” She explained this by saying she’d rather create new characters for women and not one that was originally written as a man. “We should be creating…strong female characters. I’m not interested in taking a male character and having a woman play it.”
