Game Two of the World Series
October 30, 2017
In game two of the 2017 World Series, the Astros battled the Dodgers in a game for the ages. Justin Verlander for Houston went seven very strong innings and Rich Hill for Los Angeles went four disappointing innings. At the end of the 9th inning, the score was 3-3, forcing the game into extras. In the 10th, both teams scored two runs to force an 11th inning. This is where it ended. The Astros scored two runs on a George Springer home run. In the bottom of the 11th, the Dodgers fell short with only one run from after Charlie Culberson’s solo shot.
Now that the World Series is tied up, the Fall Classic is moving to Houston for three games. If the Astros win the next three games, they will be World Champions. If the Dodgers win at least one game, they will return to Dodger Stadium for a chance to win the MLB Championship at Chavez Ravine.
