On Monday night, a truck ploughed into a well-known Christmas market in Berlin. At least 12 people were killed and almost 50 were injured, police said. According to the New York Times, the crash was a suspected terror attack. Shoppers, who had been drinking glasses of mulled wine and shopping for Christmas presents dropped packages and bags when the truck crashed into the market. Police arrested a man who was suspected of driving the truck.

The owner of the truck company, Ariel Zurawski, told CNN that the truck may have been hijacked, as his cousin–the truck’s regular driver–couldn’t have been driving the truck.
