Fall season has just arrived and UGGs are back in style around campus. Sounds like a good thing, right? Wrong, at least in part. While these shoes are perfect for cool weather, and they represent a brand collaboration with all-over-the-place Jordans by Nike, they also come at the cost of a sheep.
“I remember a couple of years ago, we were all about saving animals, and I still believe in that,” said Liv G.
Aside from the bloodshed, they also have a funky look that’s gained mass teen disapproval. The Howl found them just about as ugly as a Cybertruck. Why? Because the shape of the shoes matches the car’s, as they appear a little unlovable in both form and function.
“Me personally, I wouldn’t wear those. They look a little chunky,” said Sebastian P.
The shoes also come at a steep price of $150. This lack of value has left teens skeptical about spending that kind of cash.
“They will help their business because they’re both popular brands. I disagree with the collaboration though because it’s unreasonable. You can buy the two brands separately for a better cost,” said Madison C.
She’s right. A popular pair of UGGs goes for about a hundred bucks. Jordans are similar if they’re found on clearance.
“[The price] is absurd because who is spending $150 on slippers or boots?” said Liv G.
Some think the shoe is an ape to other Nike sneakers.
“They look like a duplicate of the Jordan 4s,” said Sandra S.
You’ll find no argument here, as both styles of shoes look like replicas of the other. They have a similar shape, though the Lowmels have a different color and texture.
Regardless, the shoes aren’t worth their price tag, and they look like Bass Pro had a sneaker baby with Foot Locker. #Overrated.
