On Thursday, October 19th, 2017, two Taliban suicide bombers killed at least 43 Afghan soldiers and injured nine as they rammed into a military base with armored vehicles. The event took place in the province of Kandahar in Afghanistan.
A shopkeeper who lived near the base said, “The explosion was very powerful — it broke our doors and windows and we thought it might be an earthquake or bombs from aircrafts dropped on our home…When I was leaving for work in the morning, I saw the camp was totally destroyed and burned.”
