Mexico’s 7.1 Magnitude Earthquake Kills At Least 273

On Tuesday, September 19th, 2017, a devastating 7.1 magnitude earthquake took the lives of at least 273 people in Mexico. Over 100 of these casualties came from Mexico City. Also, an elementary school known as Colegio Enrique Rébsamen collapsed, killing at least 20 innocent students.

As said on NBC News, “The office of President Enrique Peña Nieto revised the nationwide death toll to 273 late Thursday afternoon: 137 in Mexico City, 73 in Morelos, 43 in Puebla, 13 in the State of Mexico, six in Guerrero and one in Oaxaca.”
