This is a remote controlled Disney character, WALL-E, driving through the aisles of the LA Comic Con.
Actors, cosplay, and funko pops of all sorts welcomed the Howl and other guests who entered the Los Angeles Convention Center. Ticket prices varied depending on which pass you got, ranging from $20 to $100.
While it looked like Halloween season, it was really the 2024 LA Comic Con. People of all ages got the chance to mix it up with celebrities who are rarely seen aside from a screen.
This year’s Comic Con had over four thousand booths and dozens of guest appearances from celebrities like Rosario Dawson, Michael J. Fox, Christopher LLoyd, Ewan Mcgregor, Giancarlo Esposito, Hayden Christensen.
After getting my pass and walking through security, the thousands of flashes from cameras blinded me. People were taking photos everywhere. There were so many things to see: paintings, clothing merch, lightsabers, stuffed animals, funko pops, lots of creative cosplay, and brands trying to sell products.
I would bet $100, $1000, even $100,000 that you would leave with plenty of gifts for yourself, as well as empty pockets since most products have extreme prices.
Cosplay sightings were non-stop. People were dressed as almost every character ever seen on television. Though there was a wide variety of costumes, the most popular ones were Deadpool and Ahsoka. This might be because of the recent Deadpool and Wolverine film and because Ahsoka herself (Rosario Dawson) attended the event.
There were two Main halls, the South Hall and West Hall. In order to see the main interviews with celebrities, guests had to go to the main stage in the South Hall. Aside from the booths, there were also food trucks and a mini market to get snacks and food. This was definitely a family-friendly event that people of all ages can attend. The Howl recommends you visit this annual event.
