Class Editor’s Note

Aryanna O., Class Editor

Welcome to the Day Creek Howl’s first issue! We are approximately six weeks into this elective, yet the staff has already been working tirelessly. Although we’re completely new at this, journalism has proved to be an exciting challenge. From writing articles, to being more inquisitive about events around us, our advisor, Mr. Gossage, has been a tremendous help.

In addition to Day Creek Intermediate’s newest 7th grade elective, there have been new challenging programs on campus, such as i-Ready, a diagnostic to see how we are doing in math, language arts, etc. Students have been working hard, their eyes glued to their Chromebooks. Although some think this year’s forecast predicts that months will be cloudy with a chance of everlasting classwork, I am certain that this year will be filled with sunny skies and new experiences.

Now that I’ve finished boring you with school stuff the formalities, I’m not sure what else to say.  But since I have to include about  300 words, I am considering how to ramble on about various topics for awhile. What to say…hmmm?  Pardon my inexperience. As I’ve previously stated, all of us are still amateurs.
