The Lego Batman Movie will please all young children.

If you are into movies that include crime-fighting superheroes, humor and mischief-making villains, then Warner Bros. The Lego Batman Movie is perfect for you. With scenes that contain most of our favorite ‘80s villains and Batman criminals, it is no surprise that The Lego Batman Movie earned a whopping $55,635,000 during its opening weekend. Warning: In the paragraph below there are a few spoilers but hilarious activity.

The onset of the story begins in the grim-faced city of Gotham. The Joker (Zach Galifianakis), tired of not receiving the respect and hatred he feels he deserves from Batman, decides to “leave” Batman and assembles all of the famous Batman villains we know and love, who get revenge on Batman.  Meanwhile, at a retirement party, Batman (Will Arnett) unintentionally adopts Richard John “Dick” Grayson (Michael Cera), an orphan who will do anything to help Batman. After going to a prison in another dimension, the Joker meets famous scoundrels, including Voldemort, the Gremlins, Godzilla, and the Jurassic Park velociraptors, etc. Together, these legendary criminals construct a plan to destroy Gotham City and ‘win’ Batman’s distrust.

As bizarre as the story plot sounds, Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB have the similar positive reviews. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the audience gave it an 86%. IMDB gave the movie a 7.8/10. The Lego Batman Movie is rated PG for slight rude humor and some action. With hilarious puns, an amusing plot and beloved characters, this movie was a fun-filled movie altogether.
