Two former allies of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie were found guilty Friday of planning to shut down the nation’s busiest bridge, George Washington Bridge, to punish a local mayor who refused to support the governor’s re-election. William E. “Bill” Baroni Jr., the former deputy executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Bridget Kelly, Christie’s former deputy chief of staff for legislative and and intergovernmental affairs, were both found guilty. According to the New York Times, the federal investigation has led to guilty pleas by two other friends of Mr. Christie, David Wildstein and David Samson.
